So.
And now for my not-German-speaking-friends: (I don't trust google-translator... :))
After all - a blog.
(I try to arrange it a little interactive why I will give some suggestions, nice links or small riddles once in a while.)
The beginning of the journey. That's the first tricky thing, because my journey already started in November 2013. Three weeks in Austria were followed by some (far too short) days an nights in bella Venezia and a short stopover at home for Christmas and New Year's Eve.
And then the real start.
After 19 hours, two passport inspections and more sleep than in the night train to Austria (!) arrived the bus and me in London. To days are definitely too short to explore this cosmopolitan city, why I'll come back in a couple of weeks to spend some more time.
Across Bristol and Plymouth I went to beautiful Devon, where I arrived in Frogmore on 13.01. Sarah picked me up and the dogs Molly and Tess welcomed me with loud barking and a really nice room with a wide bed were waiting for me. (Which I definitely prefer compared with the beds in Hostels :))
I was especially taken with the musical nights in the cozy Pubs, where many traditional songs were played and sung. The mood is always perfect regardless how stormy it is outside. (The local beer is very nice and I can recommend the cider!)
Besides my skills in cleaning horse stables I also could improve my painting-skills and the hens and ducks always brought a joyful surprise when I found an egg in their nest. :)
Last weekend (31.01./ 01.02.) I was in Land's End, where nothing happens at this time of the year. The gales and sudden rain showers couldn't stop me to make an excursion along the coast. On this trip. Thereby the wind stole the rain protection of my backpack and up to date it's still missed.
I'm going to leave Frogmore on Tuesday and I'm afraid I'll miss a lot more very soon...

And now the first suggestion: Give a tip how many posts there will appear during the next six months. Closing date is 01. March and who comes at close as possible to the real number gets a little surprise :) Just send me an e-Mail or make a comment....Well - the original reason for the blog :)

ReplyDeleterichtig so! :)
