Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh

EDINBURGH!

Leute, macht euch her! :D
Ich muss sagen, ich bin ja ein bisschen allergisch gegen Ratschlaege wie: "Du musst unbedingt..." oder "Oh, da wollte ich schon immer mal hin, das ist so super toll, du wirst es lieben."
ABER: Alle, die mir Edinburgh empfohlen haben: Danke! :)
Also. Ich bin am 12.02. schweren Herzens in Devon aufgebrochen. Mit einem Zwischenstopp in Exeter und einem schoenen Nachmittag mit Hollie (eine waschechte Englaenderin die ich in Oesterreich bei den Huskies getroffen habe) ging es dann nach Birmingham. Am naechsten Tag (furchtbares Wetter und der Bus kam zu spaet) ging es dann nach Manchester. Leider war ich ziemlich fertig und hab nicht allzu viel von Manchester gesehen. Aber das was ich gesehen habe, hat mich nicht so sehr ueberzeugt...
Und dann nach Newcastle. Newcastle wurde mir als DIE Partystadt schlechthin beschrieben - naja. Ich muss sagen, alle Clubs in Jena (auch wenn sie noch so schlecht sind) haben laenger auf :D
Newcastle ist eine ganz huebsche Stadt, aber nicht zu vergleichen mit Edinburgh...
Von den Hostels her sind alle ganz okay, wobei jedes doch seinen ganz eigenen "Charme" hat ^^
Morgen geht's dann auch schon weiter nach Glasgow. (Ich glaube, ich muss in Zukunft mehr Zeit fuer die einzelnen Staedte einplanen weil ich bis jetzt nie alles gesehen habe, was ich wollte...)

Soweit so gut. Ansonsten liebe Freunde bin ich ein bisschen enttaeuscht von eurer sehr mangelhaften Teilnahmebereitschaft - bis jetzt haben nur drei Personen einen Tipp abgegeben. (gut fuer die drei, aber halt nicht so spannend ;))

Da ich keine Fotos hochladen kann habe ich mir ueberlegt, meine Gastgeber nach und nach ein bisschen vorzustellen.
Und damit es komplett ist, fange ich ganz vorne an ;)

Letztes Jahr im November war ich ja in Oesterreich und mein erster "Arbeitseinsatz" war bei Lukas und seinen 16 Huskies. Neben vielen langen Spaziergaengen in der schoenen Landschaft Oesterreichs standen knuddeln und Essen kochen (fuer die Hunde, nicht fuer uns :)) auf dem Plan.Neben Lukas waren natuerlich noch einige andere tolle Leute vor Ort.

Guys, you should come to this city!
I really don't like to get too many suggestions like "You absolutley have to..." or "Wow, I always wanted to go there, it's so nice, you will love it!"
BUT: All of you who recommended Edinburgh: Thank you! :)

But from the beginning.I left Devon on 12.02. with a heavy heart. I had a stopover in Exeter and a lovely afternoon with Hollie (one of the English girls I met in Austria during my time with the Huskies) and then I took the bus to Birmingham.
The next day (horrible weather and the bus was to late) I went to Manchester. Unfortunately I was really tired and couldn't explore the city as I wanted to. But I what I've seen wasn't very convincing...
And then the next day to Newcastle. I was told that Newcastle is one of the biggest party cities per se - hum. I have to say all clubs in my hometown Jena (as bad as they are) are longer open. :D
but Newcastle is a nice city, but compared with Edinburgh...

The accomodation are oky, and every Hostel has his own "charm" ^^

Tomorrow I go to Glasgow and I should calculate more time for the cities because until now I couldn't see everything I wanted to...

So far so good. Apart from that I'm a little disappointed because of your blemished participation - only three people gave a tip! (Good for them - but not as funny and exciting as possible ;))

Because I'm not able to upload some picture I want to describe my hosts bit by bit.
I begin at the beginning - for completeness :)

Last year in November I went to Austria and spent there 10 wonderful days with Lukas and his 16 Huskies and all the other nice guys I met there. Besides long hiking tours with the dogs in the beautiful landscape of Austria our tasks were cuddling and cooking food (for the dogs, not for us ;))
